One of the good things which has come from this year is that government does now appear to be taking more seriously the contributions that the private sector can and desire to make in growing our economy. Hopefully this is not just more placating talk but will result in removals of unnecessary barriers to entry for the private sector while not sacrificing on anti-corruption measures. And hopefully needed changes will be swiftly implemented enabling the South African economy to recover quicker.
